YOUR IMPACT
We seek a dedicated and experienced Resident Inspector to join our team. This position provides quality control and assurance, measurement, and documentation throughout all phases of the construction process. The Grants Project Manager is a detail-oriented, resourceful, and collaborative team member with excellent client and management skills. The primary responsibility of the Grants Project Manager is to organize and develop grants and guide projects through the funding process. This team member manages all aspects of the grant development process and life cycle, including overall management, planning, and budgeting from award through closeout. The Grants Project Manager will be directly responsible for Project Coordinators and relevant project staff.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Guide award recipients and program officials on the proper application of Federal regulations and agency policies and processes, including 2 CFR 200 and federal programs such as HUD CDBG and CDBG-DR, FEMA, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), and the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) requirements.
- Understand, monitor, and manage the entire award/grant lifecycle from pre-award and post-award through closeout.
- Consult with award recipients and program officials on financial, program, administrative, or policy matters.
- Evaluate client needs, recommend project approaches, understand engagement scope, manage activities for completing work, and assist with oversight of overall quality control of deliverables.
- Evaluate award recipient amendment requests (modifications, extensions, changes in scope) to ensure proposed changes comply with the award terms and conditions.
- Monitor financial administration of grants to ensure that proper documentation is submitted for expenditures and that requests for funds are made within the time limitations.
- Oversee the administration of projects to ensure that operations conform to the terms of the agreement and that maximum efficiency is achieved.
- Monitor and report the status of grants awarded.
- Manage projects to completion accurately and efficiently according to scope, specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Work with staff to understand the necessity of proper procedures to achieve project goals.
CRITERIA FOR JOINING OUR TEAM
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Relevant and sufficient work experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
- A minimum of three to five years in grant applications, administration, and management is required.
- At least three years of project administration and management experience with HUD CDBG-DR or GOSHEP/FEMA/PA is required.
- Experience with ARPA, IIJA, and BRIC is a plus.

We are currently engaged in various coastal projects, including, among many, restoration and protection master planning (e.g., Atchafalaya Master Plan, Pontchartrain Basin Comprehensive Conservation Management Plan), feasibility (e.g., Mississippi River Gulf Outlet Modification Feasibility Study), analytical (e.g., assessment of restoration program performance in the Barataria Basin) and preliminary engineering and design (Marsh Island; White Lake Wetlands Conservation Area; and Lafourche, St. Tammany, Plaquemines, and St. Bernard Parishes). YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project management leadership for both administrative and technical components of projects.
