This team member manages all aspects of the grant development process and life cycle, including project development, formulation, obligation; overall management; planning; and budgeting from award through closeout. The Grants Project Manager will be directly responsible for Project Coordinators and relevant project staff. This position will assist our team with Hurricane Helene’s recovery and restoration efforts.

 

CRITERIA FOR JOINING OUR TEAM

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Relevant and sufficient work experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
  • A minimum of three to five years in grant applications, administration, and management is required.
  • At least three years of project administration and management experience with FEMA Public Assistance (PA) or Hazard Mitigation (HM) is preferred. Experience with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development CDBG-DR is a plus. Experience with ARPA, IIJA, and BRIC Grants is also a plus.
  • Prior experience with the entire award/grant lifecycle from pre-award through closeout on federally funded projects, including but not limited to the FEMA Grants Portal.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Grants Project Coordinator is a resourceful, detail-oriented, and  collaborative team member with excellent organization and time management skills. The primary responsibility is to assist our Grants Team in organizing and developing grants from start to finish and guiding projects through the funding process. The Grants Project Coordinator is an integral member of our Grants Team who will assist with all administrative aspects of the grant process. This position will assist our team with Hurricane Helene recovery and restoration efforts.

 

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Grants Project Manager with Federal Emergency Management Agency Public Assistance (FEMA PA), Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), and Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) requirements.
  • Evaluate potential problems and assist in developing solutions and improvements.
  • Assist in planning and managing team goals, project schedules, and new information.
  • Coordinating with all team members to keep workflow on track.
  • Manage project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed, and stored.
  • Provide quality control and assurance of project documents and deliverables.
  • Preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos, meeting minutes, submittals, and correspondence.
  • Assist in adhering to budget by monitoring expenses and reconciling project expenses.
  • Assist with operating and maintaining schedule.
  • Assist in reviewing and processing sub-consultant, contractor, and vendor invoices and/or contracts.
  • Assist in developing invoices.
  • Support with client coordination.

 

 

CRITERIA FOR JOINING OUR TEAM

Education

  • Work requires knowledge to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes. Level of knowledge equivalent to four years of a high school diploma. Secondary education is a plus. Relevant and sufficient work experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.

 

Certification and License(s)

  • Valid Drivers’ license

 

Experience

  • Over two years of project administrative and coordination experience with FEMA/PA preferred. Similar experience in a related field will also be considered.

POSITION DUITES

  • Lead the project from beginning to completion and is responsible for all project coordination
  • Generate the site and building design
  • Generate conceptual designs for client review
  • Perform product and materials research
  • Perform Life Safety and Building Code review
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and City design regulations, codes, and standards
  • Lead the schematic design, design development, and construction document phases of the design process
  • Specify construction materials
  • Ensure drawings and specifications for CDBG DR projects meet all CDBG DR and HUD funding requirements
  • Develop the design idea from concept to construction document phase
  • Lead team to produce contract documents, including plans and specifications
  • Lead team members in the production of construction drawing
  • Communicate directly with consultants and authorities having jurisdiction
  • Coordinate and manage civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing consultants to deliver drawings and specifications for their respective disciplines
  • Lead client meetings and community meetings

 

REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree in architecture or related field and 12 months of experience designing architectural drawings for a CDBG DR-funded housing repair and replacement program.

 

RATE OF PAY

Minimum $67,392 per year
